Kaksi kuukautta täynnä seikkailua

8. Viikko

Kahdeksas viikko, eli kaksi kuukautta täällä oltu nytten. Aika menee tosi nopeasti, tuntuu että täällä olisi ollut aina. Puhuttiin samaa perheen äidin kanssa, tuntuu että olisin ollut pidempään täällä kuin kaksi kuukautta. Viikko meni melko hyvin ilman suurempia ongelmia, pientä riehumista. Eka pakettikin tuli Suomesta tänne, äidin sanojen mukaan maxikirje, juu niinpä. Lämmin huppari saapui elämääkin suuremman vihkon, Joulutarina DVD:n ja synttärikortin kanssa.

Lauantaina keskustaan aamusta. Kuten sanottua parhaat lahjat ovat itse itselleen annettuja ja niin minä jälleen tein. Koristettiin ihoa hieman lisää ja jatkettiin Disney aiheista hihaa. Kaikki ei tietenkään mennyt suunnitelmien mukaan, vaan artisti oli myöhässä ja päästiin aloittaan tunti aikataulusta myöhässä. Mutta en valita, artisti teki hyvää työtä ja olen erittäin tyytyväinen kuvaan. Wildcat Inkissä kävin siis ottamassa kuvan, jos joku sitä miettii. Kolme tuntia istumista ja työ saatiin valmiiksi, monet sanovat käsivarren olevan kipeä kohta ottaa tatuointi, mutta en nyt sanoisi että se on. Itsestään tuntuu, että monet kohdat, jotka ovat oikeasti kipeitä tatuoida (koska luut ja jänteet) eivät ole mulle kipeitä. Tästä esimerkkinä jalkapöytä, yksi kipeimpiä kohtia tatuoida, mutta meinasin nukahtaa kun itsellä jalkapöytää tatuoitiin. Ja helpot ja kivuttomat kohdat taas on mulle kipeitä. Olenko outo?

Kumminkin, Taru tuli minut noutamaan liikkeestä, vähän shoppailtiin ja käytiin ottamassa lävistykset yhdessä. Tultiin meille tapaamaan perhettä, jotta tietävät minkälaisen tyypin kanssa oikein pyörin viikonloppuisin. Voi mikä huolenpito alkoi, kun astui ovesta sisään. "Oletko okei, kaikki hyvin, sattuuko käteen, miten meni? Mene nyt makuulle ja rentoudu, tuon sulle teetä". Tuntui ensin hassulta, minkälainen reaktio täällä oli siihen, kun tulee tatuoinnin kanssa kotiin. Perhe oli kyllä tietoinen tästä, ettei tullut kumminkaan yllätyksenä. Myöhemmin käytiin läheisessä japanilaisessa syömässä illalista Tarun kanssa. Parasta sushi tähän mennessä mitä täällä on syönyt. 

Sunnuntai meni lähinnä nukkuessa ja rentoutuessa. Perheen äidin ohjeiden mukaan piti vain rentoutua ja jouda paljon vettä, jotta käden turvotus laskee. Oli siis todella turvonnut aamulla, kun heräsi, kaksin kertainen normaaliin verrattuna. Hyvä viikko loppujen lopuksi. 

Week 8

Eight weeks, so I've been here for two months now. Time goes so fast, I feel like I've been here forever. We talked about this with family's mom, feels like I've been here longer than two months. Week went by pretty well, without bigger problems, little wild. First package from Finland arrived, mom said that it's max letter, yeah right. Warm hoodie arrived with notebook that is bigger than life, Christmas Story DVD and birthday card.

On Saturday went to city early. Like said best gifts are given to yourself by you and I did that once again. Decorated skin little more and continued my Disney sleeve. Not everything with according to the plan, my artist was late and we began an hour late from our scheduled time. But I'm not complaining, he did a good job and I'm very pleased with it. If someone's thinking were I went to get it done, I went to Wildcat Ink. Three hours sitting and we got it done, many people say that forearm is a sore place to get a tattoo, that it hurts quite a lot, but I wouldn't say that it hurts that much. I feel myself like many places that actually hurt to get tattooed (because bones and sinews) doesn't hurt that much for me. For example instep, one of the worst places to tattoo, hurts like hell, but for me no, I almost fell asleep when I got a tattoo on my instep. And the easiest places to get a tattoo hurt most for me. Am I weird?

Anyways, Taru came to get me from the shop, little shopping after that and went to get piercing together. We came to my house, so she can meet my family and that my family knows what kinda person I hang out in weekends. Oh my, when I stepped through the door family's mom started to take care of me. "Are okay, everything's alright, does your arm hurt, how did it go? Go lay down and relax, I get you some tea". First it felt kinda funny what kinda reaction they had when you come home with a tattoo. They knew I was getting a tattoo, so it wasn't a surprise. Later we went to have a  dinner in Japanese restaurant near home with Taru. Best sushi I've eaten here so far.

Sunday was spent sleeping and relaxing. Family's mom's directions, relax and drink lots of water, so that the swelling on my arm comes down. It was really swollen in the morning when I woke up, about twice the normal size. Had a good week after all.

Viikko 7 ja synttärit

7. viikko

Ensimmäinen kokonainen viikko koulussa ja harrastuksien alkaminen. Partio tiistaisin ja torstaisin, piano ja viulu tunnit keskiviikkoisin. Eli lähinnä totuttelua uuteen arkielämään.

Viikonloppuna pääsin ensimmäistä kertaa elämässäni laukkakisoihin, täällä oli Champions Weekend, eli isot laukkakisat lauantaina ja sunnuntaina. Lauantaina kisat olivat Leopardstownissa ja sunnuntaina Curraghissa.

Lauantaina juhlittiin myös mun synttäreitä. Aamulla heräsin ensimmäiseen onnitteluviestiin kuudelta aamulla, ei kiva. Muistakaa ihmiset aikaero. Ihana passaus aamu oli, kaikki tehtiin valmiiksi ja ihania lahjoja. Perheen äiti antoi minulle lahjakortin Marks & Spenceriin, ihanan suihkusaippuan ja suklaata. Oikean äidin synttärilahjaa odotin jo kuumeisesti, mutta lahjan julkaisun takia ei lahja ihan saapunut synttäreiksi.

Mutta palataan aiheeseen eli siinä kahden aikaa päivällä saavuttiin Leopardstownin laukkaradalle, jossa ensimmäinen lähtö oli alkamassa. Synttäreiden kunniaksi tuli juotua lasi kuohuvaa lounaan yhteydessä. Ihan sama mihin suuntaan katsoit näit mitä kummallisimman näköisiä muotiluomuksia, jotkin hatut olivat kauniita, mutta jotkus olivat naurettavia. Kaikki olivat pukeutuneet hienosti kisoja varten ja niin myös mekin. Hevosten esittely ringin louna näimme maailmaan kuulun jockeyn Ruby Walshin. Illalla tilattiin pizzaa ja katsottiin Salamaseepra.

Sunnuntaina Curraghin laukkaradalle toiseen kisapäivään. Curraghissa meno oli vähän hillitympi ja ihmisiä oli vähemmän, kaikki eivät olleet niin pukeutuneet, paitsi tietysti hevosten omistajat olivat täydessä tällingissä. Koska olimme jo "kokeneita" kävijöitä emme juosseet paikasta toiseen kuin päättömät kanat. Curragh oli myös lapsiystävällisempi, paljon erilaisia aktiviteetteja lapsille, mutta meidän ei niistä niin kiinnostuneet. Rankan viikon ja sitäkin hektisemmän viikonlopun jälkeen oli aivan kuitti. Sunnuntaina meni kyllä aikaisin nukkumaan.

Week 7

First whole week at school and all the hobbies started. Scouts on Tuesdays and Thursdays, piano and violin on Wednesdays. Week went by basically getting used to a new schedule.

On weekend I got to go the race for the first time in my life, they had a Champions Weekend, so big races on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday they were in Leopardstown and on Sunday in Curragh.

On Saturday we celebrated also my birthday. In the morning I woke up for the first birthday wish message at six, not nice. Remember the time difference. The morning was lovely, everything was done for you and got wonderful presents. Family's mom gave me a gift card to Marks & Spencers, nice body soap and some chocolate. I was waiting my own mom's present for me but because the publishing date of my gift it didn't quite arrive for my birthday. 

Back to the topic so around two in the afternoon we arrived to Leopardstown's race course where the first race was about to begin. Because of my birthday I got a glass on champagne with my lunch. It didn't matter which way you look, you saw more and more extraordinary fashion designs. Some of the hats were beautiful, but some of them were just ridiculous. Everyone was dressed nicely and so were we. In parade ring we saw world famous jockey Ruby Walsh. In the evening we ordered pizza and watched Racing Stripes.

On Sunday we headed to the Curragh race course for the seconds race day. In Curragh it was more restrained and there were less people compared to Leopardstown, and not all were dressed up, except the owners of course. Because were "experienced" goers we didn't run from one place to another like headless chickens. Curragh was also more child friendly, lots of different activities for children but ours didn't get that excited about them. After hard week and more hectic weekend I was exhausted. I went bed early that day.

Vika viikko ennen koulun alkua! Normaali meno täällä, pojat leirille päiväksi ja iltapäivällä kotiin. Kotona touhuamista jne. kuten aiemmin sanottua meno ja meininki yleensä sijoittuu viikonlopulle. Perjantaina vanhin lähti partioleirille koko viikonlopuksi. Lauantaina ratsastamassa ja katsomassa nuorimman ratsastustuntia. Aivan mahtava ratsastaja niinkin nuoreksi. Sunnuntaina haettiin vanhin leiriltä ja käytiin syömässä ihastuttavassa 'The Merry Ploughboy' ravintolassa. Sisällä ihania vanhoja tauluja ja kylttejä, ja hyvin tiivis tunnelma, varsinkin kun TV:ssa oli rugby matsi menossa. Sieltä vielä ratsastamaan.

6. viikko

Maanantai oli vapaa, jolloin haettiin viimeiset koulukirjat, pieniä vastoinkäymisiä päivän aikana oli, mutta niistä selvittiin. Illalla jännitettiin seuraavaa päivää ja koulun alkamista. Tiistaina sitten alkoi arki täällä, takaisin kouluun. 

Lauantainan sitten keskustaan Tarun kanssa shoppailemaan ja parille. Trinity Collageenkin päästiin jopa tällä kertaa, Grafton Streetilla oli katusoittaja Australiasta, coveroi U2:sen With or Without You:n omalla twistillään. Kiinalaisessa käytiin syömässä ja sen jälkeen The Storehouseen parille. Storehousessa oli todella hyvä duo, joka soitti tunnettuja kappaleita, pienellä irlantilais vivahteella. Shoppailtua tuli ihana koristetyyny ja muki, joita koristaa pesukarhu. Disney tunika, jossa teksti 'Beauty looking for the Beast', Harry Potter vaatteita, sekä pieni taulu, jossa on vuoristo ja teksti 'Life is an adventure'. HMV:sta Nightwishin uusin levy ja Peter Pan DVD, vuoden 2003 versio, paras versio heti Disneyn jälkeen.

Sunnuntaina luonnollisesti ratsastamaan. Ratsastin uudella hevosella, jolla sitten hyppäsin vähän. Neljän vuoden jälkeen vähän jännitti miten käy, mutta kun sen kerran oppii niin sen osaa aina, niinhän sen osasi vielä ja pysyi selässä.

Week 5

Last week before school starts again! Normal life here, boys to the camp for a day and in the afternoon back home. Doing stuff at home etc. as said earlier all the action is usually during the weekend. On Friday the oldest went to camping with his scouts for the whole weekend. On Saturday went riding and watch the youngest riding lesson. Very good rider for so young. On Sunday we went to get the oldest from camping. We had a lunch in a lovely restaurant, The Merry Ploughboy. Inside there was old pictures and posters, and very intense atmosphere because the was a rugby game playing on TV. After that quick riding session.

Week 6

Monday was a day off for the boys, because the schools started on Tuesday. We had to get the last missing school books, had little problems during a day, but we got everything sorted out. Tuesday end of the holiday! Back to school.

On Saturday I went to city centre with Taru, little shopping and for a few drinks. We even got to Trinity Collage this time. On Grafton Street there was a street player from Australia, he covered U2's With or Without You with his own little twist. We had a dinner in Chinese and had a few in The Storehouse. In Storehouse there was a really good duo, who played popular songs with a tint of traditional Irish music. Well, I got some shopping done too, decoration pillow and a mug with raccoon on them. Disney tunic, which reads 'Beauty looking for the Beast', Harry Potter clothes and a small painting with mountains and a text 'Life is an adventure'. From HMV I got Nightwish's new album ja Peter Pan DVD, the 2003 version, the best version of Peter Pan right after Disney's.

On Sunday went to riding, naturally. Got to ride a new horse and got to jump with her. After four years I was little nervous how it's gonna turn out, but what you once learn, you always know how to do it. So I still got it and I didn't fell.

2. Viimeisin tatuointi, jonka olen hankkinut pari kuukautta sitten. Olemme rakkaan ystäväni kanssa tunteneet 10 vuotta. Rakkautemme Harry Potteria kohtaan antoi idean tähän ystävyystatuointiin. Ystävyyssuhteemme on todella vahva ja kestää toivottavasti vielä monta vuotta eteenpäin, joten tämän takia 'Always'. Fakta Harry Potterista, jos joku ei tiedä, 'Always' on Severus Snapen vuorosana Kuoleman Varjeluksien toisessa osassa, kun Dumbledore kysyy häneltä 'Lily, after all this time?' ja hän vastaa 'Always' (Jos spoilaa, niin anteeksi).

The latests tattoo I have got done couple months ago. We have known each other for 10 years with my dear friend. Our love towards Harry Potter gave us the idea for this friend tattoo. Our friendship is really strong and stays strong for many years to come, hopefully, because of this we decided to go with 'Always'. Little Harry Potter fact if someone doesn't know it's Severus Snape's line in Deathly Hallows - part 2, when Dumbledore asks him 'Lily, after all this time?' and he answers 'Always'. (Sorry, if I spoiled for someone)

 3. Peter Pan osoittaa rakkauttani Disneya kohtaan ja tietysti Peter Pania. Se on suosikki elokuvani ja rakastan Peter Pania todella paljon. Joten tarina tämän takana on rakkaus.

Peter Pan shows my love for Disney and of course for Peter Pan. It's my favorite movie and I love Peter Pan very much. So story behind this is love.

4. Tämä ei ollut ihan suunniteltu tatuointi, tämä tuli otettua kaverin liikkeen avajaisissa. Olen aina pitänyt leopardi kuosista, joten miksi ei. Pilkut ovat hauska pieni yksityiskohta nilkassa.

This wasn't really planned, I took it in my friend's shop's opening party. I've always liked leopard pattern so why not. These spots are funny little detail in my ankle.
